Acts 9:31 The Church Prospers.
There were five things that marked this turning point for the church and churches. First in order of importance, they had peace. Without the threat of persecution and death, the church could grow and prosper. They were edified or built up when they didn’t have to think about getting murdered and could focus on building each other up (Cf. Eph. 4:16). The only fear they had was the fear of the Lord, which was with them wherever they walked (Cf. Ps. 34:9). Walking has the idea of living in every area of life, every hour of the day. They also had the comfort of the Holy Spirit, which was also with them wherever they walked (Cf. Jn. 14:16). For all of these reasons they were multiplied (Cf. 16:5).
