Acts 4:32-37 Power And Grace.
As noted earlier, the church was a family and had all things in common, everyone giving as they had to those in need (v. 32, 34). This was evidence that the power and grace of the gospel had taken root. The signs and wonders that accompanied the apostolic witness gave testimony to their message. Key to this message is that they bore witness to the resurrection of Jesus. The same power that raised Jesus from death was working in and through them (v. 33). Great grace was also evident in the help they afforded to each other. Barnabas received his new name for his leadership role in giving, showing himself to be a true encourager not just with words but with deeds also (vv. 34-37).
